Introduction to the use of Cup Pig
The pushing medium can be liquid or compressed gas when the cup pig is used for a pipeline cleaning or drainage operation.
Air compressors or pumps with appropriate discharge pressure should be selected according to different pipe diameters and pipeline lengths.
In the oil pipeline wax scraping and gas pipeline drainage operations, the working force of the medium can be the pressure of the conveying medium.
No matter what kind of pipeline operation must pay attention to two points:
(1) Select the power source according to the diameter of the pipe the length of the pipeline and the elevation difference between the serving device and the ball receiving device to ensure that there is sufficient outlet pressure.
(2) Properly control the running speed of the pig, the running speed of the pig is controlled by the displacement, so the service end must have a displacement control device to control the displacement of water, gas or oil in order to control the running speed of the pig.
In different operating conditions, the running speed should be different.
The speed of cleaning, drainage, and exhaust operation should be less than 2 m/s;
