Fluorine rubber rivals silicone rubber in high-temperature resistance, ranking it among the top elastomers available. The 26-41 fluorine glue excels in long-term stability at 250°C and can tolerate up to 300°C in short bursts. The 246 fluorogel surpasses the 26-41 variant in heat resistance. After 100 hours of air thermal aging at 300°C, the physical properties of 26-41 are comparable to those of type 246. Both maintain an elongation at break around 100%, with a hardness rating between 90 and 95 degrees.
Impressively, type 246 retains good elasticity even after 16 hours of aging at 350°C and remains elastic after 110 minutes at 400°C. After the same duration at 400°C, the addition of spray carbon black, hot cracking carbon black, or carbon fiber increases the elongation by about 1/2 to 1/3, while the strength halves, yet it still maintains significant elasticity. Finally, type 23-11 fluorine adhesive performs well for prolonged periods at 200°C and can withstand up to 250°C briefly.
